Role Description This is a full-time, remote Fundraiser Internship position designed for learners from institutes such as IIMs, IITs, and similar academic environments who are interested in the social sector. The intern will support the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, including researching potential donors, partners, and grant opportunities. Day-to-day tasks include preparing outreach materials, drafting emails and presentations, and assisting in the development of fundraising pitches and proposals. The intern will interact with donors and partners under supervision, maintain and update donor databases, and track campaign performance. Responsibilities also include coordinating virtual events, supporting social media and digital fundraising initiatives, and preparing periodic reports and summaries for the team. The role involves close collaboration with program and communications teams to ensure fundraising efforts align with ongoing and upcoming projects.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in social impact, nonprofit work, and fundraising, with the motivation to support charitable initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear emails, proposals, and presentations.
- Analytical and research abilities to identify potential donors, partnerships, and grant opportunities, and to synthesize information effectively.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Comfort with remote collaboration tools (e.g., email, video conferencing, shared documents) and basic proficiency with spreadsheets and presentation software.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a remote environment, with a proactive and responsible attitude.
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a reputable institution (such as IIM, IIT, or equivalent) in fields like management, engineering, economics, social sciences, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Prior exposure to fundraising, marketing, sales, event management, or student-led initiatives is an advantage but not mandatory.
