Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fundraiser role based in Lucknow. The Fundraiser will plan and execute fundraising campaigns to support animal welfare initiatives and community programs, including events, donor drives, and targeted outreach. Responsibilities include identifying and cultivating prospective donors, maintaining relationships with existing supporters, and preparing compelling proposals, presentations, and reports. The role involves coordinating with program teams to understand funding needs, managing fundraising databases and documentation, and tracking progress against targets. The Fundraiser will also represent the organization at meetings and events, engage with corporate and institutional partners, and help build awareness of United for Animal Welfare’s mission in the region.
Qualifications
- Fundraising and donor relations skills, including campaign planning, donor cultivation, and stewardship.
- Strong communication abilities such as persuasive writing, public speaking, and presentation skills.
- Experience with relationship management, networking, and stakeholder engagement in nonprofit or related sectors.
- Basic proficiency in data management and use of CRM or fundraising tools for tracking donations and contacts.
- Understanding of nonprofit operations, grant processes, and compliance with relevant fundraising guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, marketing, management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to animal welfare and social impact; familiarity with grassroots NGOs is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Lucknow, travel locally as needed, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and communities.
