Role Description The Fundraiser is a full-time role based in New Delhi with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of on-site and work-from-home days. The role involves identifying and cultivating prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and institutions, and maintaining ongoing relationships with existing supporters. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting proposals and presentations, organizing fundraising events and campaigns, managing donor communications, and maintaining accurate records of contributions and outreach activities. The Fundraiser will collaborate with program and finance teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and ensure transparent reporting. The role also includes monitoring fundraising performance, suggesting improvements, and supporting the trust’s overall communication and outreach strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong donor relationship-building skills, including networking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to present the trust’s mission clearly and persuasively.
- Experience in fundraising activities such as campaign planning, event coordination, grant writing, and proposal development.
- Solid communication skills, including professional writing, public speaking, and the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
- Basic proficiency with office productivity tools and donor or CRM databases to track contacts, pledges, and contributions.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, work both independently and collaboratively, and meet fundraising targets within set timelines.
- Demonstrated interest in social impact, community development, or nonprofit work; prior experience in the nonprofit sector is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; education in social work, communications, business, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment based in New Delhi, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend activities tied to events or campaigns.
