Company Description Doon Animal Welfare provides 24/7 emergency rescue services, medical treatment, and rehabilitation for dogs, cats, cows, and other stray animals in Dehradun. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fundraiser role based in Dehradun. The Fundraiser will plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising campaigns and events to support rescue, medical, and rehabilitation services for stray animals. Daily responsibilities include researching and identifying potential donors, writing grant applications, and preparing fundraising proposals and impact reports. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and community groups, as well as managing donor communications and acknowledgments. The Fundraiser will also collaborate with the team to create fundraising materials, support social media and outreach initiatives, and track campaign performance against targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or a related field, with the ability to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Strong communication skills, including persuasive writing for proposals, grants, donor emails, and impact stories.
- Experience planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns, both online and in-person.
- Comfort with donor relationship management, including outreach, stewardship, and maintaining long-term partnerships.
- Basic knowledge of digital tools for fundraising and outreach (e.g., email platforms, social media, spreadsheets, and presentation software).
- Ability to analyze campaign results, maintain accurate records, and report clearly on fundraising performance.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives and deadlines.
- Genuine interest in animal welfare and willingness to work closely with a rescue and rehabilitation environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience in fundraising or nonprofit work.
- Comfort working on-site in Dehradun and collaborating with a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
