Company Description Akshaya Child Heart Foundation (ACHF) is a non-governmental organization in India dedicated to improving health and education outcomes for underprivileged children. Role Description : The Fundraiser is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
The role involves identifying, researching, and approaching potential donors, sponsors, and partners, including individuals, corporates, foundations, and grant-making bodies.
The Fundraiser will plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events, prepare compelling proposals and presentations, and manage donor communication and engagement throughout the giving cycle.
Day-to-day tasks include maintaining donor databases, tracking pledges and contributions, preparing reports on fundraising performance, and ensuring timely acknowledgments and impact updates to supporters.
The role also includes close collaboration with program and communications teams to develop stories, case studies, and digital content that highlight ACHF’s work and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Fundraising and donor development skills, including prospect research, proposal writing, and relationship-building with individuals and institutions.
- Communication skills such as persuasive writing, presentation skills, and the ability to tailor messages for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Event and campaign management skills, including planning, coordination, budgeting, and post-event follow-up.
- Data and organizational skills, including use of spreadsheets or CRM tools, record-keeping, reporting, and basic financial tracking related to donations.
- Collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners to achieve fundraising goals.
- Prior experience in fundraising, sales, business development, or nonprofit development is highly desirable.
- Understanding of or interest in child health, education, and social impact sectors in India.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in social work, management, communications, or related fields is an advantage.
- Ability to work from Bengaluru with readiness for local travel to meet donors, visit programs, and attend events as needed.
