Your Opportunity
As a Functional Tester on BeGig, you’ll work on freelance projects focused on validating that software applications function correctly according to business requirements. You’ll help teams ensure product quality by identifying issues, verifying features, and improving overall user experience—without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.
What You’ll Do
- Review product requirements and create functional test cases and scenarios
- Execute manual testing to validate application functionality
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects
- Verify that features meet business and functional requirements
- Perform regression testing after bug fixes or feature updates
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to resolve issues
- Validate workflows, integrations, and user interactions across systems
- Maintain test documentation and testing reports
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in manual and functional testing
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with web and mobile application testing
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication and documentation skills
- A reliable freelancer who can independently ensure software quality
