Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements/user stories and convert them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing across multiple platforms.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar frameworks.
- Validate data flows and perform SQL-based data verification using complex queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries).
- Work in Agile/Scrum environments, participate in sprint ceremonies, and collaborate closely with developers/BA/product owners.
- Document defects clearly, perform root‑cause discussions, and retest fixes.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements and best testing practices.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Functional Testing of web and backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with API Testing (Postman / REST APIs).
- Good ability to write medium to complex SQL queries for validation.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with defect‑tracking tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, QC, etc.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
