Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Functional Tester with strong expertise in the Banking domain, particularly across Loans, Lending, Payments, and Digital Banking applications. The ideal candidate should possess excellent functional testing skills, a deep understanding of banking business processes, and experience validating end-to-end banking applications.
The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and client stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery through comprehensive testing and defect management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support for banking applications.
- Analyze Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and user stories.
- Prepare detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business requirements.
- Execute manual test cases and validate application functionality against business requirements.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers and business teams to resolve functional issues.
- Validate end-to-end banking workflows across multiple applications and interfaces.
- Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, and daily Agile ceremonies.
- Perform impact analysis for new enhancements and production fixes.
- Support production validation and post-deployment verification activities.
Required Banking Domain Experience
Candidates must have hands-on experience in one or more of the following banking areas:
- Loans Management
- Retail Lending
- Corporate Lending
- Loan Origination Systems (LOS)
- Loan Servicing
- Payments Processing
- Fund Transfers
- Domestic & International Payments
- Digital Banking
- Internet Banking
- Mobile Banking
- Customer Onboarding
- Account Management
- Banking Channels
Required Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong experience in Functional Testing.
- Expertise in System Testing and Integration Testing.
- Experience in Regression Testing.
- Exposure to User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Ability to design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Strong defect lifecycle management experience.
- Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, or similar.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Ability to analyze functional specifications and identify business risks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
