Director of Pharmacy

Description

• Plan, direct and monitor all financial, operational, professional, and clinical activities of the pharmacy department. This is a working Director position for a hospital pharmacy.
• Ensure that all pharmacy staff is currently licensed/certified/registered and complies with all applicable regulations, policies and standards of the hospital and PharmaCare Services.
• Develops rapport with hospital staff and provides timely information relative to drugs, policies and standards of care that relate to medication use/safety.
• Keep current with State regulations regarding the practice of Pharmacy and implements changes as necessary to maintain compliance.

Requirements

• Louisiana State Board Pharmacist License
• Hospital pharmacy experience (at least two years preferred)
• Good computer skills and experience with pharmacy software
• Self-motivating and proven leadership ability
