Role Overview
We are looking for a Full Stack Technical Lead to drive the modernization of a suite of 6 legacy applications into a scalable, cloud-native architecture using Next.js, Spring Boot microservices, and AWS.
You will be both a hands-on engineer and a technical leader: owning key architectural decisions, guiding a cross-functional development team, reviewing code, and serving as the primary technical point of contact for the Project Manager.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the stack, partnering closely with business stakeholders, and leading teams through complex integrations (Salesforce, SAP, etc.).
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2–3 years in a Tech Lead / Lead Engineer capacity.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Front-end: Next.js / React ecosystem
- Back-end: Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
- Cloud: AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS/Lambda, RDS/DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, etc.)
- Proven experience in modernizing legacy applications into microservices and/or cloud-native architectures.
- Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as Salesforce and SAP via APIs, middleware, or messaging.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools, ideally including Opsera and Octopus, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, security best practices, and performance optimization across front-end and back-end.
- Demonstrated ability to lead code reviews, establish coding standards, and guide teams through complex technical problems.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments, driving story grooming, estimation, and sprint planning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between product, PMs, and the development team.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging (e.g., Kafka, SQS), or API gateways.
- Exposure to DevOps practices, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and environment management in AWS.
- Prior experience in multi-application or multi-tenant platform rebuilds.
- Background working with design systems or component libraries for React/Next.js.
