About The Role
We are seeking a talented PHP Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Comply. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems that form the backbone of our compliance solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about writing clean, efficient, and scalable code, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including front-end developers, QA, and DevOps—to deliver high-quality features and enhancements that meet our clients' evolving needs. Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess proficiency in PHP, with hands-on experience using frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software development is required. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX is essential, along with experience working with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL. Candidates should have a solid understanding of RESTful API design, version control systems like Git, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows. A strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles, MVC architecture, and security best practices is vital for this role. A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field is mandatory. Experience working within Linux environments is also required.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include writing clean, well-documented PHP code that adheres to best practices. You will develop and maintain scalable backend components and APIs that support our compliance platform. Collaborating with front-end developers, you will integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic to ensure seamless functionality. Designing secure data storage solutions using SQL or NoSQL databases will be a key aspect of your role, along with troubleshooting, testing, and optimizing core product software to enhance performance and reliability. You will participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and stay abreast of emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into our products. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including designers, QA, and DevOps—you will help deliver features that meet high standards of quality and security.
