Job details:
The Role: Full Stack Engineer (Founding Team)
Location: Bangalore (on-site)
About the Company
InCommon is hiring on behalf of a seed-stage consumer fintech building an AI-first personal finance app for India - a premium, conversational alternative to the dashboard products that dominate the category. The thesis is that most people don't deploy their money well, not because the information is missing, but because it's buried in charts that assume you already know what to look for. The product reads a user's full financial context and tells them what matters, proactively.
You'll own the system end to end - from the data coming in to the interface the user touches. The most important piece is the user context layer: the engine that assembles a complete picture of a user's finances from what they tell us directly and from what we pull via account aggregators, MF Central, and other APIs. Everything the product knows flows through what you build.
This is a founding-team seat. You're not joining a platform team inside a larger org - you're building the platform.
Why Join Corpus
- Founding engineer — shape the product, architecture, and engineering culture from day one.
- $4.2M pre-seed backed by leading investors; building in a massive, under-served market.
- Meaningful equity, high ownership, zero bureaucracy.
What you'll do
- Build and ship features across the mobile app (Flutter/React Native) and backend (FastAPI, PostgreSQL).
- Implement conversational UI, interactive charts, and generative UI blocks on the frontend.
- Design APIs, data models, and backend services that the AI calls to generate financial advice.
- Build financial data pipelines — market data ingestion, CAMS statement parsing, portfolio analytics.
- Own performance on both sides — fast cold starts on mobile, low-latency APIs onthe backend.
- Integrate third-party services: Clerk (auth), Account Aggregator, push notifications, WhatsApp.
- Set up CI/CD, testing, and deployment pipelines across frontend and backend.
What we're looking for
- 3 - 6 years spanning backend and frontend, with real depth on at least one side
- Strong in Flutter (Dart) on the frontend and Python (FastAPI/Django) on the backend.
- Zero-to-one experience - you've built something before the patterns existed, in a small team where you owned outcomes rather than a slice of a system
- Comfort owning infra directly: EC2, keeping services up, basic security hygiene, no dedicated DevOps team to lean on
- Bonus: you've set up telemetry/observability from scratch and can talk about what you tracked and why
- Bonus: React Native - if you're strong in React we're confident you'll pick it up
- No fintech or finance-domain background required
Process note: the interview includes a machine coding round — you'll build something real, live. If you do your best work heads-down rather than on the clock, worth knowing going in
