About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Engineer with a backend-heavy focus to join our dynamic UK and India-based development teams. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our platform’s architecture, developing scalable backend systems, and creating intuitive frontend interfaces. Reporting to the Project Manager and VP of Engineering, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs and user expectations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a high-traffic, innovative platform serving a rapidly growing user base. You will be involved in designing microservice architectures, optimizing system performance, and implementing secure, scalable APIs. Additionally, you will mentor junior developers, contribute to DevOps practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our platform remains at the forefront of technology and user experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in full stack development, with a focus on scalable, distributed backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in developing responsive, user-friendly interfaces with React, Next.js, Redux, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture, distributed systems, and API design principles.
- Experience creating secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
- Hands-on experience designing and optimizing MySQL databases for high-traffic applications.
- Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure, for hosting, scaling, and monitoring applications.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and automation tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Deep understanding of secure coding practices, authentication mechanisms, and API security gateways.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and optimize scalable and secure backend systems utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, and microservice architecture principles.
- Design and implement intuitive, responsive user interfaces using React and Next.js to enhance user engagement and experience.
- Maintain high standards of code quality through thorough reviews, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX Designers, and fellow developers to gather requirements and deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Contribute to DevOps processes by supporting CI/CD pipelines, automating deployments, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Participate in performance tuning, incident resolution, and security enhancements to ensure platform stability and security.
- Promote best practices in software development, agile methodologies, and secure coding standards across the team.
