The Mission
Prediction markets are the purest way to aggregate global information, but the current tooling is built for casual users, not pros. We are building Gravia: the high-performance terminal that brings HFT-grade infrastructure to markets like Polymarket and Kalshi.
We aren't building for India but a global audience. Our users are professional traders who demand sub-millisecond precision and real-time insights to trade world-shifting events.
The Bar
We don't care about years of experience; we care about technical density. You should be the person people go to when a query is slow or a WebSocket connection is dropping packets.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a product-based company or a high-growth startup environment. You understand the pace and ownership required to scale from 0 to 1.
- You breathe LLMs: You don’t just "use" AI; you’re an AI-native engineer. You leverage LLMs to move 10x faster, but you’re sharp enough to know when the model is hallucinating a suboptimal algorithm.
- Performance is the Feature: You understand that 100ms is an eternity. You know how to optimize the Node.js event loop, when to reach for worker threads, and how to structure ClickHouse schemas so that multi-billion row aggregations return in a blink.
- Full-Stack Ownership: You can architect a high-throughput ingestion pipeline in the morning and polish a low-latency React dashboard in the afternoon.
What You’ll Own
- The Data Firehose: Build and scale the systems that ingest, process, and store live market data from global exchanges with sub-second latency.
- The Execution Layer: Architect API and WebSocket layers that handle high-concurrency trading activity without breaking a sweat.
- AI-Driven Analytics: Integrate specialized analytical layers to give traders an information edge.
- Infrastructure as Code: Own the performance lifecycle; identifying bottlenecks in the database, the network, or the browser rendering engine.
The Specs
- The Stack: Expert-level Node.js. Deep mastery of PostgreSQL (for state) and ClickHouse (for speed). Great if you have written highly performant code in Rust/Go/C++.
- The Edge: You’ve built HFT infrastructure, fintech platforms, or real-time gaming backends. You know your way around distributed systems and market microstructure.
- The Mindset: Ship speed is your primary metric, but you don't write "hacky" code; you write elegant, performant code that doesn't need to be rewritten in three months.
