We are a proptech startup backed by 20+ years of real estate brokerage experience. We are building a broker-first platform that brings structure, intelligence, and speed to how real estate professionals manage deals, discover inventory, and collaborate.
The product is already built and functional. We have a production codebase with AI-powered extraction, structured search, and layered access control. We need our first full-time engineer to harden the platform, ship fast, and help us get to our first 50 active users.
What you will work on
- Full-stack feature delivery: data model, API, business logic, UI, deployment
- AI extraction pipelines (Anthropic Claude API): improving accuracy, handling messy real-world inputs, confidence scoring
- Search infrastructure in Algolia: ranking, filtering, indexing, geo-queries
- Supabase backend: migrations, RPCs, row-level security, Edge Functions
- Admin tooling for moderation, verification, and ops
- Runtime performance: SSR optimization, query reduction, fast page loads
- Responsive UI that is information-dense and works well on mobile
Stack
Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript 5.9, Tailwind 4, shadcn/ui, Supabase (PostgreSQL, RLS, RPCs), Algolia, Vercel, Clerk (upcoming auth migration)
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years full-stack experience with production applications
- Strong TypeScript, React 18/19, Next.js (App Router, Server Components)
- Solid PostgreSQL skills: queries, migrations, indexing, RLS. Supabase experience is a plus.
- Comfortable building responsive UI with Tailwind and component libraries
- Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs
- Can work autonomously with priorities, not detailed specs
- Good product instinct, you notice when something feels off to a user
Good to have
- LangChain, vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone), RAG architectures
- Clerk, Auth0, or similar modern auth platforms
- Algolia or similar search infrastructure experience
- Complex workflow/state machine or moderation pipeline experience
