The RoleWe are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to build and support production-grade applications for global healthcare education. In this role, you will own the development of core web applications, design secure APIs, and build internal tooling platforms and admin portals with an emphasis on usability and role-based access controls (RBAC).
You will work as part of a distributed engineering team, collaborating closely with our cross-functional teams and product stakeholders based in the UK. This role requires an engineer who is highly proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels at cross-border communication. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient software.
What You’ll Do- Build: Develop end-to-end, production-grade features using React, TypeScript, and ASP.NET Core.
- Database Management: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries in Azure SQL Server.
- Security & Integration: Design robust RESTful APIs and implement modern authentication methods (OAuth2, JWT).
- Tooling & Infrastructure: Build internal admin portals and support deployment pipelines via GitHub Actions and Microsoft Azure services.
- Cross-Border Collaboration: Work tightly with our team in the UK, participating in distributed standups, planning sessions, and architectural reviews.
- Startup Agility: Rapidly prototype new features, balance technical depth with speed to market, and take complete ownership of features from conception to deployment.
Required Skills & Experience- Experience: 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience building and supporting production applications.
- Frontend: Strong proficiency in React (hooks, state management) and TypeScript for building interactive UIs and dashboards.
- Backend: Deep hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core for building RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Database: Proficiency in Azure SQL Server (writing and optimizing queries).
- Auth & Security: Solid understanding of RESTful API design and modern authentication (OAuth2, JWT), alongside experience building platforms with role-based access controls (RBAC).
- Cloud & DevOps: Good understanding of Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Azure SQL, Storage) and familiarity with GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively across different time zones (specifically with UK/European teams).
- Mindset: A strong comfort level with startup dynamics—adaptability, self-direction, and a desire to build things from the ground up.
Nice to Have- Familiarity with Docker and/or Kubernetes (specifically AKS) for containerized development and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with React Native for cross-platform mobile apps.
- Experience with mobile app distribution (App Store, Google Play), OTA updates, or mobile CI/CD.
- Experience in Python or Node.js backend development.
- Background in building SaaS products within the EdTech or HealthTech sectors.
