Senior Full Stack Developer
Deep-Tech Manufacturing Platform (Robotics, MES, Factory Software & Automation)
Leumas · Bengaluru
We’re hiring a senior full stack developer to help build the software backbone of next-generation manufacturing infrastructure.
This is not a conventional software development role.
You will build systems that directly power robotic micro-factories, production operations, manufacturing workflows, traceability systems, and real-time industrial decision-making.
The role spans product engineering, backend systems, cloud infrastructure, operational tooling, factory integrations, and platform architecture.
We’re looking for a high-ownership engineer who wants to work at the intersection of software, manufacturing, robotics, embedded systems, and industrial automation — and help build foundational systems from the ground up.
Company Overview — Leumas
Leumas is a venture-funded, Bangalore-based deep-tech manufacturing company building next-generation production infrastructure for wellness and pharmaceutical products.
We combine modular robotic manufacturing, software-defined production systems, and integrated quality frameworks to enable faster launches, flexible scaling, and distributed manufacturing.
Our systems are designed to support:
- Real-time production orchestration
- Manufacturing traceability
- Integrated quality systems
- Multi-factory operations
- Continuous process monitoring
- AI and automation-driven decision-making
We are building a platform where software, robotics, electronics, and manufacturing operate as one connected system.
Industry Context
Manufacturing software today is heavily fragmented.
Traditional ERP and MES systems were designed for static factories with rigid workflows and low operational flexibility. Most systems remain disconnected from real-time machine operations and modern production environments.
At the same time, modern manufacturing increasingly demands:
- Real-time visibility
- Traceability
- Multi-line orchestration
- Sensor-driven decision-making
- Remote operations
- Software-defined manufacturing workflows
- AI-ready infrastructure
The next generation of manufacturing infrastructure will look more like cloud infrastructure than conventional factories.
This shift requires a fundamentally different software stack:
modular, connected, scalable, and deeply integrated with physical operations.
Leumas is being built for this future.
The Role
You will help build Leumas’ software systems end-to-end,
frontend applications → backend systems → APIs → factory integrations → operational dashboards → cloud infrastructure → manufacturing workflows.
This is a high-ownership engineering role with direct impact on the company’s operational and technology foundation.
You will work closely with founders, firmware engineers, robotics teams, QA, manufacturing, and operations to build systems that directly power production environments.
Beyond writing code, you will help define:
- engineering standards
- platform architecture
- development workflows
- scalability strategy
- reliability systems
- long-term technical direction
This role is ideal for engineers who want to build deeply integrated real-world systems — not just isolated software products.
What You’ll Own
1. Platform & Product Development
→ Build and maintain internal software platforms powering Leumas factories and operations.
→ Develop production-grade frontend systems for manufacturing workflows and operational visibility.
→ Build scalable backend services, APIs, and internal platform infrastructure.
→ Design systems that remain modular, maintainable, and scalable as operations grow.
→ Participate in architecture and technology decisions across the software stack.
2. Factory Software & Industrial Systems
→ Build systems for production planning, execution, inventory tracking, QC workflows, and traceability.
→ Develop integrations between cloud systems, machines, sensors, and factory hardware.
→ Support real-time operational visibility across manufacturing lines.
→ Work closely with firmware and robotics teams to enable connected factory infrastructure.
→ Improve operational efficiency through workflow automation and software intelligence.
3. Data, Infrastructure & Reliability
→ Build APIs and middleware connecting internal systems, hardware, and operational platforms.
→ Work on real-time data systems and operational analytics infrastructure.
→ Support cloud deployments, DevOps workflows, and infrastructure reliability.
→ Build monitoring, logging, and traceability systems across platform operations.
→ Ensure systems remain stable and reliable under real manufacturing conditions.
4. Engineering Systems & Technical Direction
→ Help define engineering standards, code quality practices, and deployment workflows.
→ Improve system architecture, scalability, and maintainability continuously.
→ Identify and resolve bottlenecks affecting reliability, operational efficiency, or platform performance.
→ Contribute to long-term technical strategy for software systems at Leumas.
→ Help build the engineering culture as the software team scales.
You’re a Fit If
You are someone who likes building systems from scratch.
You are comfortable operating across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and integrations instead of staying within narrow engineering boundaries.
You enjoy solving engineering problems where software interacts with real-world systems and operations.
You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and building processes while the company evolves rapidly.
You think beyond features — focusing on reliability, scalability, operational usability, and system design.
You move fast, but with engineering discipline.
You have a strong ownership mindset and want to help build foundational technology systems instead of simply maintaining existing products.
Technical Requirements
Must Have
- 3–7 years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Strong experience in full stack development
- Experience with React / Next.js or similar frontend frameworks
- Strong backend development skills using Node.js / Python / Go or similar technologies
- Experience building scalable APIs and backend systems
- Good understanding of relational and non-relational databases
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployments
- Strong debugging and problem-solving capability
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently
Preferred / Bonus Experience
- Startup or product engineering experience
- IoT systems or hardware integrations
- Manufacturing software / MES / ERP systems
- Real-time systems and event-driven architectures
- MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, WebSockets, or industrial communication protocols
- Docker, Kubernetes, or DevOps tooling
- Embedded systems or robotics integrations
- AI/ML-enabled operational systems
- Experience building systems used in operational or industrial environments
How You Will Operate
You’re a builder who creates systems from first principles.
You ensure engineering quality without slowing execution.
You collaborate closely with operations, manufacturing, firmware, and leadership teams to understand real-world workflows before building systems.
You think long-term while executing fast.
You continuously improve systems instead of simply maintaining them.
You take ownership beyond assigned tasks.
Compensation
Competitive compensation with meaningful ESOP ownership.
Indicative range:
₹18–32 LPA + ESOPs
(Based on capability, ownership, and relevant experience)
