About the Role
CogniThesis is an AI-first notes taking platform serving B2B, B2C, B2I, and B2A use cases.
Alongside the core platform, we also build custom features and, in some cases, entirely new applications tailored to client needs.
We’re looking for a strong full-stack engineer who can work across frontend systems, backend infrastructure, deployments, and scalable product architecture.
In this role, you’ll handle end-to-end engineering across the core platform, client-specific features, infrastructure, and deployments while collaborating closely with our AI Engineer to integrate AI capabilities into production systems.
We’re looking for engineer who is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable contributing across the entire tech stack when needed.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain frontend and backend systems across the core platform and client-specific features
- Build scalable multi-client architectures supporting white-label and custom deployments
- Design APIs, manage databases using Prisma/Drizzle ORM, and handle schema migrations
- Manage deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure across AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, or Azure
- Implement logging, monitoring, debugging, and scaling strategies
- Build modular frontend systems supporting theming, feature toggles, and reusable components
- Write optimized, maintainable code while balancing rapid iteration with long-term scalability
- Collaborate with the AI Engineer to integrate AI-driven functionality into production systems
- Apply secure coding practices and participate in testing, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments
- Write and maintain unit, integration, system, and performance tests
- Contribute across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and platform systems as product needs evolve
What We’re Looking For
- Backend experience with Node.js, Next.js, or similar technologies
- Frontend experience with React, Next.js, or similar frameworks
- Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript ecosystems
- Experience with SQLite, PostgreSQL and ORM tools like Prisma or Drizzle
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud and infrastructure experience with AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, Azure, and Docker
- Experience with logging, monitoring, debugging, scaling, and distributed systems
- Understanding of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and common security vulnerabilities
- Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing
- Strong ownership, systems-thinking, adaptability, and ability to work across the stack when needed
