Role Description
We’re building something meaningful in the Skill Development & Vocational Training space at Ampersand Group — and I’m hiring the first few engineers to join the team.
This is a 0 → 1 build. Not a maintenance role.
You’ll work on platforms that directly impact how students learn, get skilled, and transition into livelihoods — at real scale across India.
What you’ll work on:
• Build and scale core platforms (learning systems, operations, analytics)
• Design systems for real-world constraints — low bandwidth, reliability, scale
• Work closely with product, operations, and leadership to shape what gets built
• Ship fast and iterate continuously — minimal process overhead
What I’m looking for:
• Strong fundamentals in backend or full stack development
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity — no perfectly written specs
• Ownership mindset — you take problems to completion
• Experience with Python / FastAPI / modern web stacks is a plus
• Bonus: Candidates who have built and shipped products or systems end-to-end
