At Nucleus, we’re building AI products that turn frontier model capabilities into tools people can use in real work. We’re looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to ship the product experiences that bring those capabilities to life — from chat interfaces and workflows to the backend systems that power them.
About the role
As a Full-Stack Engineer, AI Product, you will build end-to-end features across frontend and backend for core Nucleus AI experiences. You’ll work on the product surfaces where users directly interact with our models: conversational interfaces, workflow-driven tools, and the systems that make those experiences fast, reliable, and intuitive.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys moving fluidly between product thinking and systems thinking. You should be comfortable building polished user experiences, robust APIs and services, and the glue that connects advanced models to real user value.
In this role, you will
- Own full-stack product features from concept to production across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and data flows.
- Build chat, workflow, and interaction surfaces that help users work effectively with Nucleus models and capabilities.
- Design and implement backend services that support core product logic, orchestration, persistence, and integrations.
- Partner closely with product, design, research, and engineering teams to shape AI-powered user experiences.
- Translate emerging model capabilities into clear, usable, and dependable product features.
- Improve performance, reliability, observability, and quality across the product stack.
- Contribute to product architecture, engineering standards, and reusable systems that support rapid iteration.
- Help define how users interact with intelligent systems in practice, not just in demos.
We’re looking for
- Strong experience building and shipping production software across both frontend and backend.
- Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, and application logic in production environments.
- Good product judgment and the ability to turn ambiguous requirements into thoughtful, user-facing systems.
- Comfort working across the full stack, including client applications, service layers, databases, and integrations.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional partners.
- Ability to balance fast iteration with sound engineering and long-term maintainability.
- Interest in AI products and the challenges of building high-quality experiences around evolving model behavior.
Nice to have
- Experience building AI-powered applications, chat products, copilots, or workflow tools.
- Familiarity with prompt-driven systems, model orchestration, or evaluation-informed product development.
- Experience with analytics, experimentation, or instrumentation for product improvement.
- Comfort working in fast-evolving product areas where technical and UX decisions are closely linked.
