Organization: Application Modernization & Cloud Enablement

Platform: opis – Siemens Energy’s internal serverless cloud platform built on Azure

Location: Chennai or Bengaluru

Working Hours: Half-night shift

About The Role

To support Siemens Energy’s digital transformation, we are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer with a strong consulting mindset. In this role, you will work closely with application development teams across the globe—primarily in Mexico and Europe, and in collaboration with the OPIS platform development team in India.

Your mission is to help teams modernize existing solutions and guide them on their journey into our internal cloud platform opis, built on Azure’s native serverless container services.

Beyond consulting, you will contribute to the further development of the platform by creating reusable, cloud‑ready services that enable teams to accelerate their adoption of opis.

Your Responsibilities

Consulting & Collaboration

• Partner with development teams worldwide to support the migration of web and desktop applications to opis.
• Provide hands-on guidance on cloud‑native architecture, modernization strategies, CI/CD pipelines and testing.
• Conduct technical reviews, workshops, and deep-dive sessions to support teams in their modernization efforts.
• Work in close alignment with the opis platform team in India to ensure platform features, requirements, and customer needs are fully understood and integrated.
  
  

Cloud & Platform Enablement

• Support teams in containerizing workloads using Docker and deploying them to Azure.
• Promote the use of standardized patterns, reusable services, and platform capabilities.
• Create documentation, reference implementations, and onboarding material to ease the transition to opis.
• Continuously identify opportunities to enhance platform capabilities and developer experience.
  
  

Full Stack Engineering

• Design and develop common services and platform components on opis for use across Siemens Energy’s global application landscape.
• Develop high-quality solutions using C#/.NET, with a focus on cloud‑native and containerized workloads.
• Implement secure, maintainable APIs and backend services that integrate seamlessly with Azure’s serverless ecosystem.
• Contribute to front-end components when required to support end-to-end solution development.
• Apply DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
  
  

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer or cloud engineer.
• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET development.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud deployment concepts.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure, ideally including serverless and container services, as well as connected services like Key Vault.
• Experience working with distributed and multicultural teams.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into clear guidance.
• A consulting mindset, balancing technical expertise with stakeholder alignment and solution-oriented thinking.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise cloud environments and migration scenarios.
• Understanding of API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Background in building platforms, reusable services, or internal frameworks.
