With a focus on quality, safety, and usability, Pathway Communications is committed to advancing healthcare delivery through technology-driven solutions that meet the highest standards of regulatory approval and clinical efficacy.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team in developing and refining our FDA-cleared remote patient monitoring platform. This role is instrumental in enhancing our web-based clinician dashboard and ensuring the robustness and reliability of our backend services. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Spring Boot and Angular, with a proven track record of working on complex healthcare applications under tight deadlines. You will be responsible for auditing existing code, implementing critical features, fixing bugs, and ensuring the platform’s compliance with healthcare regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a pioneering healthcare product that directly impacts patient care and clinical workflows. The role requires a proactive communicator who can work effectively within a remote team, overlapping with US Eastern time zones for collaboration and updates.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Java, particularly in developing complex business logic and healthcare-related applications.
- Proficiency in Angular, including component architecture, state management, and responsive design for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Strong background in auditing, testing, and fixing existing codebases, with a focus on healthcare or regulated environments.
- Demonstrated mastery of AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, and other plugins to accelerate development workflows.
- Experience with front-end testing frameworks like Playwright and backend testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve logic errors, edge cases, and incomplete implementations rapidly.
- Proven ability to onboard quickly into existing codebases and deliver results within compressed timelines.
- Clear and proactive communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Availability to work during US Eastern timezone hours for real-time collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Audit and review the existing backend and frontend codebases to identify quality gaps, reliability issues, and incomplete features.
- Implement enhancements and fixes based on detailed developer handoff specifications, UI mockups, and defined logic.
- Develop and optimize backend services in Spring Boot, including CGM data ingestion, clinical metric computation, and a multifactorial alert engine with audit logging capabilities.
- Create RESTful APIs to support the Angular frontend, providing patient vitals, alert states, case data, and campaign metadata.
- Enhance the frontend dashboard to display real-time and historical glucose data, case tracking, alert displays, and medication adherence information.
- Develop and improve the case management workflow, enabling care teams to triage, investigate, and resolve clinical concerns efficiently.
- Design and implement alert configuration UI components, ensuring responsiveness and usability across devices.
- Conduct thorough testing of the platform to ensure accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance, fixing any logic errors or edge cases identified during testing.
- Collaborate with mobile development teams and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and consistent user experience.
- Maintain clear documentation of code changes, testing procedures, and system updates to support ongoing compliance and knowledge sharing.
