About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack MERN Engineer to join our team on a long-term basis. This role is ideal for a high-performer who is trustworthy, autonomous, and eager to tackle complex architectural challenges. As a key contributor, you will work alongside a veteran distributed team to design, develop, and maintain scalable micro-service architectures for large web applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our platform, ensuring it remains robust, efficient, and innovative. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely within India, with a focus on collaborative development during IST daytime hours, including daily stand-ups and team meetings.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over nine years of proven experience as a MERN Stack engineer, demonstrating a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development. You should have extensive expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, Node.js frameworks such as Koa and Express, and a solid track record of creating scalable architectural patterns for large web applications. Familiarity with GraphQL and REST APIs is essential, along with strong experience working with MySQL/RDS and MongoDB databases. You must be a high performer capable of writing modular, reusable, and thoroughly tested code, with a strong command of version control workflows, particularly GitHub. A keen interest in AI tools and developing AI-driven features is highly desirable. Additionally, you should be self-driven, trustworthy, and comfortable working in a fully remote, distributed team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable micro-service architectures for large web applications using the MERN stack.
- Write high-quality, optimized, and well-documented code for both front-end (ReactJS) and back-end (TypeScript, Koa, Express).
- Manage complex storage layers, utilizing MySQL and MongoDB to optimize data integrity and system performance.
- Collaborate effectively with the existing team during IST daytime hours, including participating in daily stand-ups, architecture reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.
- Follow Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, ensuring clean, modular, and maintainable code.
- Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests using Jest to guarantee reliability and stability of deliverables.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance productivity and incorporate AI-driven features into our products.
- Streamline CI/CD pipelines, leveraging automation tools to facilitate smooth and efficient deployment processes.
- Work within JIRA and AWS environments to manage tasks, infrastructure, and deployment workflows effectively.
