About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack MERN Engineer to join our team on a long-term basis. This role is ideal for a high-performing, trustworthy, and autonomous professional who excels in designing and implementing complex architectures for large-scale web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with our veteran distributed team, contributing to the development of micro-service architectures, optimizing data storage solutions, and integrating AI-driven features to enhance our product offerings. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of code quality, collaborating effectively during IST daytime hours, and driving innovation within our development processes. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects that require technical excellence and strategic thinking, with the support of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over 9 years of proven experience as a MERN Stack engineer, demonstrating a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development. Expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, and Node.js frameworks such as Koa and Express is essential. You should have a strong track record of designing scalable, maintainable architectures for large web applications, with proficiency in GraphQL and REST API development. Experience working with relational databases like MySQL/RDS and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is required. Candidates must be skilled in writing modular, reusable, and thoroughly tested code, with familiarity in version control workflows using Github. A keen interest in AI tools and developing AI-driven features is highly desirable. The ability to work independently, demonstrate trustworthiness, and thrive in a remote, distributed team environment in India is crucial. Candidates should also be prepared to undergo a rigorous interview process, including technical assessments and cultural fit evaluations.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this role include designing and maintaining scalable micro-service architectures tailored for large web applications utilizing the MERN stack. You will be responsible for writing high-quality, optimized code for both front-end (ReactJS) and back-end (TypeScript, Koa, Express), ensuring seamless integration across components. Managing complex storage layers using MySQL and MongoDB to optimize data integrity and performance will be a key focus. Collaborating with the existing team during IST daytime hours, including daily stand-ups at 9:00 AM IST, to share knowledge, conduct architecture reviews, and align on project goals is essential. You will follow SDLC best practices, ensuring your code is clean, well-documented, and undergoes rigorous reviews. Developing comprehensive unit tests using Jest to validate functionality and stability is part of your responsibilities. You will leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and incorporate AI-driven features into our products. Additionally, streamlining CI/CD pipelines and automating deployment processes to ensure smooth releases will be expected. Working efficiently within JIRA and AWS environments to manage tasks, infrastructure, and deployment strategies will be integral to your daily activities.
