About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack MERN Engineer to join our dynamic team on a long-term engagement basis. This role is ideal for a high-performer who is autonomous, trustworthy, and eager to tackle complex architectural challenges. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable micro-service architectures for large web applications built on the MERN stack. Your expertise will help shape the future of our platform, ensuring high performance, security, and maintainability. Collaboration with our distributed team during IST daytime hours is essential, including participation in daily stand-ups, architecture reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess over 9 years of proven experience as a MERN Stack engineer, demonstrating a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development. You should have extensive expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, and Node.js frameworks such as Koa and Express. Proven experience in designing architectural patterns for large, scalable web applications is essential. Familiarity with GraphQL and REST APIs is required, along with strong proficiency in managing complex storage layers using MySQL/RDS and MongoDB. You must be a high performer capable of writing modular, reusable, and thoroughly tested code, with a solid understanding of version control workflows, particularly GitHub. Additionally, familiarity with AI tools and a keen interest in developing AI-driven features are highly valued. The role demands self-motivation, trustworthiness, and the ability to thrive in a remote, distributed team environment in India. Candidates should be prepared for a rigorous interview process, including an on-camera technical assessment, with a top 1.5% pass rate requirement.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role encompass a broad range of technical and collaborative tasks, including:
- Designing and maintaining scalable micro-service architectures for large web applications utilizing the MERN stack.
- Writing high-quality, optimized, and well-documented code for both front-end (ReactJS) and back-end (TypeScript, Koa, Express).
- Managing complex storage layers by utilizing MySQL and MongoDB to optimize data integrity, performance, and security.
- Collaborating with the existing team during IST daytime hours, actively participating in daily stand-ups, architecture reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Adhering to SDLC best practices by writing clean, modular, and thoroughly tested code, and conducting comprehensive code reviews.
- Developing and maintaining unit tests using Jest to ensure code reliability and stability.
- Utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity and integrating AI-driven features into our products.
- Streamlining CI/CD pipelines and leveraging automation tools to facilitate smooth deployment processes.
- Managing tasks efficiently within JIRA and working with AWS infrastructure to support development and deployment activities.
