Role Description
As a Full Stack Developer (Client Site), you will be Vecton's technical presence at the client's location - the critical link between our central engineering team and the financial institution's own development and technology teams.
Our central team designs and architects AI solutions tailored to complex financial use cases. Your role is to ensure those solutions are seamlessly consumed, integrated, and operationalized within the client's environment. You will work day-to-day with the client's technical teams, building and adapting whatever is needed to move their platform meaningfully toward AI adoption.
This is a forward-deployed, high-ownership role. You will report to Vecton's central engineering team, with a dotted-line accountability to the client's technical leadership.
You will do:
- Serve as the on-site technical bridge between Vecton's central engineering team and the client's development teams, translating solution requirements into delivered, production-ready software.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications and integrations that enable AI solution consumption at the client's end.
- Build and maintain secure, well-documented RESTful APIs following JSON standards, with a focus on performance and reliability in enterprise financial environments.
- Develop and adapt full-stack components using the client's preferred technology stack - expected to include Java and Spring Boot for backend, alongside JavaScript ecosystem technologies such as Node.js, React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Manage application deployments and support DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, environment monitoring, and infrastructure upkeep on AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Vecton's central team of engineers and the client's product and technology stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and delivery velocity.
- Champion engineering best practices - lead code reviews, uphold documentation standards, and proactively address technical debt.
- Actively leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as Cursor or equivalent co-pilots) to improve development speed and output quality.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on development experience in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development; experience with JavaScript technologies including Node.js, React.js, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Proven ability to design and build secure, performant RESTful APIs and work confidently with JSON data structures.
- Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database design and querying.
- Practical experience with AWS services and basic DevOps principles - CI/CD pipelines, deployment management, and monitoring.
- Ability to work independently on client sites, managing cross-functional relationships with both client teams and Vecton's central team.
- A strong problem-solver who takes full ownership of delivery, from requirements through to production.
- Genuine interest in using AI development tools to work faster and smarter.
