Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fruit Sourcing & Channel Development Specialist located in Dhule. The specialist will oversee fruit sourcing strategies, develop and manage supplier networks, negotiate contracts, and ensure a steady procurement process. The role will also involve fostering collaborations with partners, recruiting vendors, and optimizing fruit distribution channels to ensure high-quality supply while meeting market requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contract Farmer Management: Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with contract farmers to ensure a reliable fruit supply.
• Procurement & Quality Control: Oversee daily procurement operations, evaluate fruit quality at source, and ensure adherence to company standards.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with logistics, warehousing, and distribution teams to ensure smooth movement of produce.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, pricing, seasonal availability, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
Essential Requirements:
• 2–5 years of experience in fresh produce sourcing, agricultural supply chain, or retail fresh produce category management.
• Strong understanding of the Indian fresh fruit market, with exposure to at least 1–2 states.
• Excellent price negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Willingness to travel for farm visits, market surveys, and vendor assessments.
