Role Description
We are looking for a skilled FRP Moulder to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP), specifically within the marine or heavy manufacturing industry, and a strong commitment to structural quality and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hand lay-up and spray-up processes for hulls, decks, and small boat components.
- Prepare molds for production, including cleaning, waxing, and applying gel coats.
- Work with various reinforcement materials (CSM, Biaxial mats, etc.) and resins (GP, Isophthalic, or Vinylester).
- Ensure proper thickness and glass-to-resin ratios according to engineering laminating schedules.
- Trim, grind, and finish molded parts to meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all PPE and chemical handling protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in FRP/Composite molding (Marine experience preferred).
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of catalyst mixing ratios, curing times, and surface finishing.
- Quality Focus: Ability to identify and prevent defects such as air bubbles, delamination, or dry spots.
- Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of lamination and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to meet production deadlines.
