Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Frontend Underwriter based in Chennai. The primary responsibilities include evaluating loan applications, analyzing financial data, and assessing applicant eligibility for loan approvals. The Frontend Underwriter will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and provide exceptional service to stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate documentation, using technology-driven tools for data analysis, and assisting in risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to review loan applications and related financial documents
- Proficiency in understanding lending processes, risk assessment, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Experience with relevant software tools, digital platforms, or underwriting systems
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work in a collaborative, on-site environment while meeting deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
- Previous experience in underwriting or a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory
