About the Role You’ll work with world-class engineers, designers, and finance experts to create intuitive and scalable investment platforms. As a Frontend Intern, you’ll contribute to high-impact projects, write clean and efficient code, and learn what it takes to deliver a delightful investing experience to millions. What You’ll Do Build responsive and high-quality web interfaces Implement pixel-perfect UI with strong attention to detail Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization Work with modern frontend frameworks and state management tools Handle complex user interactions and event management Collaborate closely with design and backend teams Continuously explore and adopt better engineering practices We’re Looking for Final-year students graduating in 2027 Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals Ability to clearly explain differences between React and Vue Strong sense of UI quality — can differentiate good CSS vs bad CSS Passion for clean, maintainable, and scalable frontend architecture Up-to-date with the latest frontend trends and actively experiments with new tools & frameworks Comfortable jumping into backend code for quick fixes when required Keen eye for design and attention to detail Habit of exploring source code of libraries/modules Active GitHub / CodePen profile Multiple publicly hosted web projects to showcase Strong learning mindset — curiosity matters more than knowing everything Technical RequirementsCore Skills HTML5 / CSS3 JavaScript (ES6/ES7/ES8) React & Redux Angular or Vue (Strong JS foundations expected to pick up new frameworks quickly) Strong Understanding Of Cross-browser compatibility issues & resolution Responsive layout techniques (Flexbox, CSS Grid) JavaScript event handling (bubbling, capturing, delegation) Clean component architecture and state management patterns About smallcase At smallcase, we are changing how India invests. smallcase is a leading provider of investment products & platforms to over 10 million Indians. smallcase was founded in July 2015 by three IIT Kharagpur graduates, Vasanth Kamath, Anugrah Shrivastava and Rohan Gupta. smallcase has been focused on offering innovative investing experiences & technology.
