About The Role

This is a full-time role for a Frontend Engineer specialising in React.js and React Native at Pronti. The role involves developing and maintaining user interfaces for both web and mobile applications, ensuring responsive design and a smooth user experience across devices.

Day-to-day responsibilities include building frontend components, integrating APIs, working on real-time features, and optimising applications for performance and scalability. The role also requires close collaboration with backend engineers and product teams to deliver end-to-end features, along with troubleshooting and debugging issues as they arise.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in frontend development and be eager to learn and adapt to modern technologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of Pronti's platforms.

Qualifications

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1.5-2.5 years of experience in frontend development with React.js and/or React Native
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Familiarity with TypeScript and modern frontend development practices
• Experience with state management tools (Redux or similar)
• Understanding of REST APIs and integration with frontend applications
• Exposure to GraphQL and real-time technologies (e.g., WebSockets) is a plus
• Familiarity with UI libraries/frameworks (e.g., Material UI, Tailwind)
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• Exposure to e-commerce, logistics, or similar domains is an added advantage

• Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable frontend applications using React.js and/or React Native
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality features
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices
• Integrate frontend components with APIs and backend services
• Ensure applications are responsive, accessible, and optimised across devices
• Work on real-time features and improve overall application performance
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions to uphold quality standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues as they arise in various environments
