About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role that requires someone capable of taking full ownership of frontend architecture, project delivery, and team mentorship. The successful candidate will independently manage frontend projects from initial scoping through to production release, ensuring high-quality outputs with minimal oversight. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, backend developers, DevOps, and client stakeholders, to develop scalable, performant, and accessible user interfaces. Additionally, this role involves active participation in client-facing engagements, pre-sales discussions, and technical scoping, making it ideal for professionals who enjoy both technical leadership and client interaction.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in frontend software development, with a strong focus on modern frontend frameworks and technologies. Expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React.js is essential, including proficiency with hooks, context API, state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or Recoil, and performance optimization techniques. Demonstrated ability to independently lead frontend projects from conception to deployment, along with experience managing delivery timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication, is required. Hands-on experience with AI developer tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and ChatGPT, as well as building AI-integrated frontend features, is highly desirable. Candidates should also have solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and familiarity with cloud services like AWS, along with experience working with RESTful APIs and GraphQL. Strong collaboration, mentorship, and communication skills are vital, as is a proactive approach to adopting emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Independently drive end-to-end frontend projects, including scoping, architecture design, technical planning, and deployment, with minimal oversight.
- Manage frontend delivery timelines, effort estimations, risk identification, and proactive stakeholder communication regarding progress and potential blockers.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, performant, and reusable UI components and frontend systems using React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript standards.
- Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, performance optimization, and accessibility compliance (WCAG standards).
- Collaborate with DevOps and backend teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and cloud infrastructure management on AWS or equivalent platforms.
Client Engagement & Estimation
- Participate in client meetings and pre-sales discussions to showcase frontend capabilities, discuss technical feasibility, and build client confidence.
- Contribute to effort estimation, scoping exercises, and technical planning for new client engagements, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including timelines, trade-offs, and potential risks.
Team Management & Mentorship
- Act as the technical lead for a team of 5–10 junior engineers, overseeing task breakdown, progress tracking, code reviews, and quality assurance.
- Break down complex features into manageable tasks, delegate effectively, and ensure timely delivery.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and constructive feedback to support team members’ growth and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the frontend team.
Collaboration & AI Integration
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into accessible, pixel-perfect user interfaces.
- Utilize AI developer tools daily for coding, debugging, documentation, and code review processes, championing their adoption within the team.
- Design and implement AI-integrated frontend features, including interfaces that consume large language model APIs and deliver intelligent, dynamic user experiences.
- Participate in sprint planning, technical roadmap discussions, and cross-team architecture reviews to ensure cohesive development efforts.
- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and proactively recommend new tools and practices for adoption.
