This is not a typical React Native role.
You are expected to compress weeks of work into hours, ship fast, and still maintain production-grade code quality. AI is a core part of your workflow, not an afterthought.
What you’ll do
- Build high-quality React Native features end-to-end (idea → shipped → monitored)
- Translate rough ideas into polished, high-performance mobile UI
- Use AI tools (Claude, etc.) to accelerate development without introducing tech debt
- Optimize for performance, responsiveness, and smooth UX (60fps mindset)
- Handle edge cases across devices, OS versions, and network conditions
- Work closely with backend (APIs) and ensure clean integration and state management
- Take ownership of frontend architecture and scalability
What “great” looks like here
- You ship in hours what others take days
- Your React Native apps feel fast, fluid, and glitch-free
- You understand what to offload to native vs JS
- You anticipate and handle real-world edge cases (low network, crashes, device variance)
- Your AI-assisted code is clean, structured, and maintainable
- You don’t wait for instructions — you figure things out and execute
Requirements
- Strong experience with React Native (production apps shipped)
- Deep understanding of:
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- State management (Redux, Zustand, etc.)
- Performance optimization (re-renders, memoization, lists, animations)
- Experience integrating with APIs and handling async flows
- Familiarity with native modules (iOS/Android basics)
- Proven ability to ship fast without breaking quality
- Daily usage of AI tools (Claude, GPT, etc.) in your dev workflow
Bonus (but valuable)
- Experience with video-heavy apps / feeds (HLS, streaming, scroll performance)
- Understanding of animations (Reanimated, Gesture Handler)
- Experience debugging real-world production issues (crashes, memory leaks, slow screens)
- Familiarity with CI/CD, app releases, and monitoring
What will not work here
- Writing slow, over-engineered code
- Blindly copy-pasting AI output
- Ignoring performance and edge cases
- Needing detailed specs for everything
- Shipping fast but leaving behind fragile systems
How we evaluate you
No resume filtering.
You will be asked to:
- Build a real React Native feature under time constraint
- Show your AI workflow (how you actually use tools)
- Explain your decisions, tradeoffs, and performance considerations
