Frontend Engineer
Location: Pune, India (Hybrid)

About Plansom
Plansom is building AI Mission Control for work. We help teams turn strategy into action by combining AI, people and workflows in one platform. As we continue to develop the product, we're looking for a Frontend Engineer who enjoys building fast, intuitive user experiences and wants to play a key role in shaping an AI-native product.
Working as part of a small and growing engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of major areas of the frontend, contribute to product decisions, and help deliver features used by customers around the world.
The Role
As a Frontend Engineer, you will build and own the user experience across the Plansom platform. From data-rich dashboards to AI-powered conversations and real-time interfaces, you'll create responsive, high-quality experiences that make complex workflows feel simple.
You'll work closely with our product, design and engineering teams to deliver new features quickly while maintaining a high standard of performance, usability and code quality.
What You'll Do
- Build and own real-time product experiences in React and TypeScript, from data-rich dashboards to streaming AI chat and agent-driven interfaces.
- Develop and maintain applications using our modern frontend stack, including Vite, TanStack Query, TanStack Router, Redux Toolkit and Ant Design.
- Integrate seamlessly with typed REST APIs while maintaining end-to-end type safety.
- Build user interfaces that are fast, intuitive, accessible and responsive across devices.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers and designers to deliver high-quality features.
- Take ownership of frontend architecture, code quality and continuous technical improvements.
- Optimise application performance and continuously improve the overall user experience.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and engineering best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Strong commercial experience building applications with React and TypeScript.
- Excellent understanding of modern frontend development and component-based architecture.
- Experience working with Vite, TanStack Query, TanStack Router, Redux Toolkit and modern UI libraries.
- Experience integrating frontend applications with typed REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of performance optimisation, accessibility and responsive design.
- A keen eye for user experience and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of ownership.
- Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- Experience building real-time or streaming user interfaces.
- Experience working with AI or LLM-powered products.
- Familiarity with Server-Sent Events (SSE), AG-UI or A2A protocols.
- Experience building data visualisation or dashboard applications.
- Experience with automated frontend testing and quality assurance.
