About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend/SDK Developer Level 6 to join Wisemonk’s dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping both the developer-facing SDKs and the core frontend experiences of our AI evaluation platform. Your work will directly influence how external developers and internal teams interact with our products, ensuring usability, performance, and maintainability are prioritized. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across multiple facets of frontend and SDK development, utilizing modern technologies such as React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and advanced frontend tooling. You will be responsible for designing scalable APIs, reusable frontend systems, and high-quality SDKs, all while maintaining a focus on developer experience and long-term product health.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of six years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong background in frontend development and SDK building. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is required. You should demonstrate expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React.js, HTML, and CSS, with proven experience in creating public SDKs, open-source libraries, or developer-facing APIs. Familiarity with package architecture, API design, and reusable frontend abstractions is essential. Additionally, you should have experience with testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library, as well as exposure to tools such as React Query, React Hook Form, and TanStack Router. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to operate independently, and excellent collaboration abilities are critical for success in this role. Bonus skills include experience with npm package publishing, frontend optimization, SDK documentation, Next.js, data visualization frameworks, cloud platforms like GCP, and backend API integrations.
Responsibilities
As a Frontend/SDK Developer at Wisemonk, your responsibilities will encompass both SDK and frontend development tasks. You will design, build, and maintain TypeScript SDKs and developer-facing libraries, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and user-friendly. Creating reusable abstractions, APIs, and frontend utilities that external developers can confidently integrate with will be a core focus. You will also contribute to package architecture, frontend platform consistency, and reusable component systems, writing comprehensive automated tests to ensure SDK reliability and frontend quality. Collaborating closely with backend developers, you will integrate frontend systems with backend APIs, participate in architectural planning, and advocate for best practices in code quality and maintainability.
On the product frontend side, you will develop and sustain responsive, accessible UI components using React 19 and TypeScript, implementing user-centric designs with Tailwind CSS. You will tackle complex UI and integration challenges through independent problem-solving, optimize application performance across devices and browsers, and manage client-side routing, data fetching, and form logic with tools like TanStack Router, React Query, and React Hook Form. Your role includes participating in code reviews, contributing to frontend architecture discussions, and ensuring the overall quality and scalability of the platform’s frontend systems.
