About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Frontend Application Developer with extensive expertise in Ionic mobile and Angular frameworks to join our dynamic team at Holcim Global Digital Hub. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality portal and mobile applications that serve our internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a proactive individual who can take ownership of the entire application lifecycle, from initial conception to deployment and ongoing support. The developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend developers, to create seamless, responsive, and user-friendly mobile experiences that align with our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, committed to best practices, and eager to contribute to innovative digital initiatives that support sustainable construction practices worldwide.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mobile application development, with a proven track record of delivering and deploying applications on both iOS and Android platforms. Technical proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong expertise in Angular 16+ and Ionic 3+ frameworks, along with experience using Capacitor for native device functionalities. Familiarity with RESTful API integration, mobile app architecture patterns such as MVC or MVVM, and principles of mobile UI/UX design is required. Additional skills in cloud services, serverless architecture, and CI/CD pipelines will be considered advantageous. Effective communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to mentor junior developers are also important attributes for this role.
Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Architect, design, and develop advanced mobile applications utilizing Ionic and Angular. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, optimizing applications for speed, scalability, and performance.
- End-to-End Development: Oversee the entire application lifecycle, including conceptualization, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code aligned with project requirements.
- Prototyping and Proof of Concepts: Create prototypes and proof of concepts to validate ideas, gather feedback, and provide technical insights to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and backend teams to ensure seamless integration, consistency, and high-quality user experiences across platforms.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance continuously, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance responsiveness and user satisfaction.
- Code Quality and Best Practices: Maintain high standards of code quality through proper documentation, testing, and adherence to industry best practices in software development.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and innovation.
