Job description
In this role, you will be the primary custodian of an ultra-lightweight runtime engine (under 15kb gzipped) that injects and governs experiments across millions of live browsers. You will work at the intersection of browser internals, edge computing (Cloudflare Workers), and high scale data telemetry. If you are passionate about execution speed, web performance, zero-trust security, and building developer tools that operate at global scale, this is your mission.
What You Will Do
- Architect the Runtime Core: Design and optimise the vanilla JavaScript engine.
- Defend Performance Budgets: Ensure that the SDK executes critical decision-making logic in under 50ms, maintaining strict LCP and CLS boundaries.
- Develop Zero-Trust Solutions: Implement Static Mode configurations utilising Subresource Integrity (SRI) hashes and decoupled telemetry bridges to ensure compliance with PCI-DSS v4.0.
- Manage Single-Page Application (SPA) Lifecycles: Implement passive, non-destructive lifecycle management via scoped mutation observation without breaking host routing frameworks.
- Provide Technical Leadership: Guide the development of the Chrome Extension and its interface with front-end libraries, acting as the bridge between UX strategy and infrastructure.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 8+ years building high-traffic, client-side SDKs, browser extensions, or complex web applications.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of modern, framework-agnostic Vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), DOM APIs, Shadow DOM, and the browser's Stacking Contexts.
- Performance Obsession: Deep understanding of web vitals, network protocols (navigator.sendBeacon), and the mechanics of avoiding layout shifts.
- Security Mindset: Familiarity with modern Content Security Policy (CSP) directives and threat prevention strategies.
- Advocacy for the User: You believe that code should be invisible and that the host application always takes precedence
