Frontend Developer — React · Next.js · JavaScript
Decipher Financials | 1-2 Years Experience
About the Role
At Decipher Financials, we build data-driven tools that help investors, analysts, and institutions make sense of complex financial information. We are looking for a sharp, motivated Frontend Developer to join our growing team. You will work closely with design and backend engineers to build responsive, performant web interfaces that consume real-world financial data — including live feeds from regulatory sources like the SEC. If you love clean code, intuitive UI, and financial data, this is your role.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain responsive web interfaces using React and Next.js, following component-driven architecture.
- Integrate REST APIs (including SEC EDGAR APIs) to fetch, parse, and display financial data in real time.
- Manage global application state using Redux or Redux Toolkit.
- Write clean, well-structured JavaScript (ES6+) with a focus on performance and readability.
- Collaborate with the backend team on API contracts and deployment workflows.
- Manage code using Git — branching, PRs, code review, and clean commit history.
- Deploy and test frontend builds on cloud services such as Render, Vercel, or AWS (EC2/S3).
- Debug and troubleshoot cross-browser and device compatibility issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and design reviews.
Skills & Requirements
Required
- React, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
- Redux, REST APIs, Fetch / Axios, Async/Await
- Git & GitHub — branching strategy, code review
- DSA basics — arrays, maps, time complexity awareness
- AWS EC2 (basic knowledge), deployment, environment config
Good to Have
- LLM / AI API integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Postman for API testing
- FastAPI or Python backend familiarity
Who You Are
Must have:
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in React / Next.js
- Solid JavaScript fundamentals and problem-solving ability
- Experience working with external REST APIs
- Proficiency with Git workflows (branches, PRs)
- Basic understanding of cloud deployments
Great to have:
- Exposure to financial or data-heavy applications
- Experience integrating LLM APIs
- API testing using Postman
- Python / FastAPI backend familiarity
- Eye for design and UI detail
What We Offer
- Fast career growth — direct exposure to fintech product development from day one
- Work on real data — live SEC data, real APIs, real users, not dummy projects
- AI-first stack — early access to integrate LLMs into financial tooling
- Flexible work — hybrid or remote-friendly setup with async collaboration
