Company Description
COSO is a construction intelligence company building vertical AI for the construction project management industry. We embed AI agents inside multi-billion dollar infrastructure programmes. We are a growth-stage deeptech company with a working product already deployed on live infrastructure projects. Our team brings combined decades of experience across the infrastructure industry, enterprise software, AI, ML, and data science, spanning India and international markets.
About the role
You will own the entire frontend surface of our platform that our enterprise users rely on every day. You will work directly with the Head of AI Engineering in a tight pod, shipping production code every week to real customers on real infrastructure projects.
What you will do
• Partner with the Head of AI Engineering on UX for AI agent workflows, including prompt surfaces, citations, and human review loops.
• Build, ship, and maintain our webapp as the product evolves.
• Translate complex construction data into clean, fast, and intuitive interfaces.
• Design and implement real-time interactions with the backend, including streaming agent responses.
• Build and maintain a small but disciplined design system, with reusable components, tokens, and accessibility baked in.
• Own performance: track Core Web Vitals, set performance budgets, and keep load times tight on enterprise networks.
• Deploy your own work end to end. You write it, you ship it, you watch it in production.
• Talk to customers when needed.
What you bring
• 1 to 3 years of professional frontend experience shipping production web applications ideally for B2B enterprise systems, with at least one product you can walk us through in detail.
• Deep working command of React and TypeScript. You think in components, types, and state.
• Demonstrable taste. We will look at what you have shipped and form a view on whether it is good. Polish, clarity, and visual hierarchy matter to us.
• Real experience with data-heavy or enterprise interfaces: dashboards, tables, time-series charts, complex forms.
• Hands-on experience with REST and WebSocket clients, error handling, retries, and optimistic updates.
• Working knowledge of accessibility basics (WCAG, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation).
• Comfort owning a feature end to end without hand-holding, from the API contract to the production deploy.
• Git discipline, code review habits, and an instinct for clean, testable code.
What we are not asking you to already know
We are not filtering on specific libraries or tools you can pick up on the job. If your fundamentals are strong you will be fine with our stack choices around build tooling, state management, component libraries, and styling. We care about the work you have actually shipped, not tag matching.
Bonus points
• Gantt charts, dependency graphs, or other complex schedule visualisations.
• BIM or 3D web viewers (Autodesk Forge, Speckle, xeokit, three.js).
• Data visualisation libraries (D3, Plotly, Recharts), especially for dashboards.
• Map libraries (Mapbox, deck.gl, Leaflet) for site and GIS views.
• Heavy daily use of Claude Code, Cursor, or other AI coding agents in your real workflow.
Personality and mindset
• Hustler. You move fast, you unblock yourself, and you do not wait for a perfect spec.
• Hard worker with a builder mindset. You enjoy shipping, take pride in production code, and think in customer outcomes.
• Hands on with deployment. You are comfortable owning a feature from design to production, including the ugly bits.
• Growth mindset. You stay flexible, give and take feedback well, and keep getting better.
What you will get
• Real ownership of the entire frontend of a deeptech product used on live infrastructure programmes.
• Direct exposure to founder, customers, and senior leaders from day one with a fair compensation taking into account growth and alignment
• A genuinely AI-first stack. We use Claude Code, Cursor, and Anthropic agents heavily, and you will too.
• Steep learning curve across vertical AI, construction technology, and enterprise SaaS.
• A small, senior team where your work is visible, your decisions matter, and your code reaches customers within days.
