About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will be responsible for owning the architecture, development, and overall quality of our web applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in building fast, scalable, and intuitive user interfaces that enhance user experience and engagement. You will set frontend standards, ensure best practices are followed across the team, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence.
This position offers a unique blend of technical leadership and direct coding responsibility. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into high-quality, performant web solutions. Your insights will influence the technical direction of our platforms, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with our strategic goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in frontend development with a proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering high-quality web applications. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of modern frontend technologies, and the ability to make strategic technical decisions. Experience working in fast-paced startup environments or with AI-related projects is a plus.
Key Qualifications Include
- 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
- Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Extensive experience with React.js or similar modern frameworks
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern layout techniques
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query
- Proficiency in working with REST APIs and asynchronous data handling
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade web applications
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern build tools
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Own the frontend architecture and develop the technical roadmap aligned with company goals
- Define and enforce coding standards, performance optimization, and best practices across the frontend team
- Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to junior frontend engineers
- Evaluate and select frameworks, libraries, and tooling to ensure optimal performance and scalability
Development
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications
- Translate design mockups and product requirements into responsive, accessible user interfaces
- Implement cross-browser compatible solutions and ensure optimal performance
- Integrate frontend components with backend APIs to enable seamless data flow
- Optimize applications for speed, usability, and scalability
Collaboration
- Work closely with product managers to define requirements and deliverables
- Partner with designers to ensure pixel-perfect UI and an excellent user experience
- Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure API efficiency and data integrity
- Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and estimation sessions
Quality & Delivery
- Ensure frontend code is testable, maintainable, and well-documented
- Own the release process, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
- Monitor application performance, user feedback, and bug reports to continuously improve the platform
