Front Office Manager – 5Star Pre-Opening Hotel | Indore
Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh
Reports To: General Manager
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front Office Manager to lead the front office operations of a luxury pre-opening hotel in Indore. The ideal candidate will play a key role in establishing service standards, recruiting and training the team, implementing systems, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience aligned with luxury hospitality benchmarks.
This position requires strong leadership, pre-opening experience, operational excellence, and a passion for delivering personalized guest service.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Opening Responsibilities- Assist in developing and implementing front office policies, SOPs, and service standards.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and staffing plans.
- Lead recruitment, hiring, and training of the front office team.
- Coordinate with IT for PMS setup (Opera/IDS/other systems).
- Oversee setup of reception, concierge desk, guest relations, and lobby operations.
- Conduct trial runs and mock drills before opening.
Operational Responsibilities- Manage daily front office operations including Reception, Guest Relations, Concierge, Bell Desk, and Telephone Operations.
- Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes.
- Maintain high guest satisfaction scores and handle VIP guests personally.
- Resolve guest complaints professionally and promptly.
- Monitor room inventory, overbooking, and rate strategies in coordination with Revenue and Sales.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and luxury service protocols.
Financial & Administrative- Prepare monthly forecasts and budgets.
- Monitor room revenue, upselling strategies, and departmental expenses.
- Control payroll costs and staffing efficiency.
- Maintain accurate reports and documentation.
Team Leadership- Train, mentor, and develop team members.
- Conduct performance appraisals.
- Foster a positive, service-driven work culture.
- Ensure grooming and professional standards are maintained.
Candidate Requirements- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management.
- 5–8+ years of experience in Front Office operations in luxury hotels.
- Minimum 2 years in a managerial role.
- Pre-opening experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of PMS systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and guest handling skills.
- High attention to detail and service excellence mindset.
