Role Description The Front Office Associate is a full-time, on-site role based at Sterling Holiday Resorts in Alleppey or Athirappilly. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, managing check-in and check-out processes, and handling reservations and inquiries at the front desk. The associate will respond to phone calls and emails, provide accurate information about resort services and local attractions, and coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure rooms and services are prepared. Daily tasks include maintaining guest records, processing payments, resolving basic guest concerns, and escalating issues when necessary to ensure a smooth and positive guest experience. The role requires a professional presence at the reception area, adherence to Sterling’s service standards, and consistent support of a warm, efficient, and guest-centric environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Receptionist Duties, with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Competence in front office operations such as Check-in procedures, reservation handling, and basic billing and record-keeping.
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening skills.
- Professional Phone Etiquette, including handling multiple calls, redirecting queries, and managing inquiries courteously.
- Basic computer proficiency, including use of hotel management or reservation systems and common office software.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, and remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in front office, guest relations, or hospitality operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Formal education in hospitality management or a related field is an advantage; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
