Company Description
Peepul Agri leverages IoT sensors, Robotics and AI algorithms to build precision farming solutions. We design and deploy connected hardware and software systems that help farmers monitor, automate, and optimize their operations in real time. As we scale our product suite, we're looking for a Frontend Developer who can take complete ownership of our applications' UI and help shape the next generation of our dashboards, mobile-responsive apps, and device-monitoring interfaces.
About the Role
We're looking for a Frontend Developer who doesn't just write code, but owns the user experience end-to-end. You'll be the go-to person for everything UI — from architecture decisions to pixel-level polish — while mentoring and guiding fellow developers. This role is ideal for someone who thinks like both an engineer and a designer, has strong logical and problem-solving instincts, and genuinely enjoys building great products.
You'll work closely with backend engineers, IoT hardware teams, and product/design stakeholders to turn complex, real-time sensor data (water quality, soil conditions, crop health, device telemetry) into interfaces that are simple, fast, and intuitive.
Responsibilities
• Own the UI of our applications end-to-end — architecture, code quality, performance, and visual consistency across products.
• Translate IoT and sensor data (real-time and historical) into clean, usable dashboards and visualizations.
• Lead frontend architecture decisions — component design, state management, folder structure, and reusable design systems.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, contribute design feedback, and have a strong eye for visual detail, spacing, and usability.
• Guide, review, and mentor other frontend developers — set coding standards and best practices for the team.
• Work with backend/API and IoT device teams to ensure smooth data flow and real-time updates on the UI.
• Debug complex issues with strong logical reasoning — performance bottlenecks, state bugs, rendering issues, etc.
• Drive frontend planning in sprint discussions — break down features, estimate effort, and take ownership of delivery timelines.
• Continuously improve UI performance, responsiveness, and cross-device/browser compatibility.
• Stay updated with modern frontend practices and bring in improvements proactively.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience building production-grade web applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js (or similar modern framework), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Solid understanding of state management (Redux/Context API/Zustand or similar), REST/WebSocket API integration, and real-time data handling.
• A genuine design sense — comfortable working with Figma/design files, and capable of making sound UX calls independently.
• Strong logical and analytical thinking — able to break down complex problems into clean, maintainable code.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers; comfortable taking the lead in technical discussions.
• Ability to take ownership — someone who treats the product like their own, not just a set of tickets.
• Passionate, curious, and proactive — someone who cares about the “why” behind the work, not just the "what".
• Experience with dashboards, data visualization libraries (Chart.js, D3, Recharts, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Prior exposure to IoT, real-time data systems, or product-based startups is a bonus.
