Role Description The Front Desk Staff role is a full-time, on-site position based at MAYFAIR Hotels & Resorts in Jharsuguda. The role involves greeting guests, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and providing information about hotel services, local attractions, and facilities. Daily tasks include handling reservation inquiries, managing room allocations, answering phone calls, and coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations. The Front Desk Staff also assists with guest requests, resolves basic concerns, processes payments, and maintains accurate records in the hotel’s systems. The position requires a professional appearance, consistent adherence to hotel standards, and a welcoming, service-oriented approach to every guest interaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong customer service skills and the ability to handle guest interactions with courtesy and professionalism.
- Candidates should possess clear communication skills, including fluent spoken English and the ability to convey information accurately and politely.
- Candidates should possess phone etiquette and receptionist duties skills to manage calls, inquiries, and front desk operations efficiently.
- Candidates should possess basic computer literacy, including familiarity with reservation or property management systems, email, and standard office applications.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in hospitality or front office roles, knowledge of local language(s), and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a diploma or degree in hospitality management or a related field is an advantage.
