Chief Operating Officer
Position Overview
The Chief Operating Officer is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations. This role ensures that business strategies are effectively executed and that the organization runs efficiently to achieve growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy Execution
Partner with the CEO to develop and implement company strategy
Translate strategic goals into actionable operational plans
Drive execution and monitor performance against objectives
2. Operations Management
Oversee daily business operations and optimize operational systems
Manage core functions such as production, supply chain, sales, and customer service
Improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
3.Performance Management
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
Evaluate business performance regularly and adjust strategies as needed
Ensure departments meet performance targets
4. Team & Organizational Leadership
Build and lead high-performing operations teams
Enhance execution capability and cross-functional collaboration
Design and maintain an effective organizational structure
5. Process & Systems Optimization
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Promote digital transformation and data-driven management
Continuously improve internal controls and risk management
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
Align and coordinate efforts across departments
Ensure optimal allocation of resources
Resolve critical operational issues
Qualifications
1. Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher (Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred)
2. Experience
20+ years of relevant experience
Proven track record in operations management, preferably in large or high-growth companies
Experience managing cross-functional teams
3. Skills & Competencies
Strong strategic thinking and execution skills
Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
4. Preferred Qualifications
Industry-specific experience (e.g., tech, manufacturing, retail)
Experience scaling organizations or leading transformation initiatives
Familiarity with digital tools and operational systems
