Role Description The Front Desk Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at the Clay by Lingaraj Granites showroom in Bhubaneswar. This role is responsible for greeting customers, answering inquiries in person and over the phone, and directing visitors to the appropriate staff or showroom sections. Day-to-day tasks include managing the front desk area, maintaining visitor logs, handling basic administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and updating records, and ensuring the reception area is welcoming and organized. The Front Desk Assistant will coordinate with the sales and design teams to support showroom visits, share basic product information, and assist in managing customer follow-ups. The role requires consistent professionalism, punctuality, and a customer-focused approach to support a high-quality showroom experience.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach to interacting with visitors and team members.
- Professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle incoming calls, inquiries, and message-taking efficiently.
- Experience with administrative assistance, including scheduling, basic record-keeping, and document handling.
- Receptionist duties experience such as managing front desk operations, visitor logs, and maintaining a presentable reception area.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written, to support customer interactions and internal coordination.
- Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, and office software); familiarity with appointment or CRM tools is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a showroom, retail, hospitality, or customer-facing role is preferred.
- Ability to remain organized, handle multiple tasks, and work reliably during showroom operating hours.
