Role: Trainee/ Copy Editors

Location: Trichy

Experience: Freshers or Experience in CE

We are looking for highly skilled and detail-oriented Copy Editors and Trainee Copy editors to join our team in an onsite capacity in Trichy. The role involves ensuring the highest quality and accuracy of published content for academic, scholarly, and professional clients.

Key Responsibilities

·        Content Refinement: Review and edit manuscripts (books and scholarly journals) for grammar, syntax, punctuation, clarity, and consistency.

·        Style Guide Adherence: Apply and enforce major industry style guides (e.g., Chicago, APA) as well as internal house styles.

·        Quality Assurance: Ensure the content adheres to all client specifications and standards before publication.

·        Technical Editing: Utilize Microsoft Word's Track Changes feature efficiently to manage and propose edits.

·        Workflow Integration: Work closely within publishing software workflows to maintain timely delivery schedules.

Required Qualifications

·        Education: Bachelor's degree (preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field).

·        Language Skills: Exceptional command of the English language, including advanced knowledge of grammar, syntax, and punctuation.

·        Style Guide Fluency: Proven working knowledge and ability to apply major style guides (e.g., Chicago, APA).

·        Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Word (especially using Track Changes) and familiarity with publishing software workflows.

·        Onsite Requirement: Must be willing to work onsite at the Trichy office location.

Note on Experience: We welcome Freshers (2023, 2024, and 2025 Graduates). Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of professional copy editing experience are also strongly encouraged to attend.
