Shift: US Shift (Night Shift) - 8PM to 5AM
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to manage the billing operations for the Carodiovascular speciality, located in Phoenix, USA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in surgical billing, ASC workflows, and payer-specific requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise in AthenaHealth and NexGen, and the ability to ensure timely and accurate claim submissions.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Charge Entry
- Accurately enter patient demographics and insurance details
- Post charges based on medical documentation (superbills/encounters)
- Validate CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers for compliance
- Ensure correct provider, location, and DOS (Date of Service)
- Identify and resolve charge discrepancies before submission
🔹 Payment Posting
- Post insurance and patient payments (EOBs/ERAs)
- Reconcile payments with billed amounts
- Identify underpayments, overpayments, and denials
- Apply contractual adjustments accurately
- Flag accounts for AR follow-up if needed
🔹 Additional Responsibilities
- Work closely with coding and AR teams
- Analyze denial trends and suggest improvements
- Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks
- Ensure compliance with payer and regulatory guidelines
🔹 Required Skills
- Strong experience in charge entry and payment posting
- Deep understanding of EOB/ERA interpretation
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers
- Familiarity with insurance guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers)
- High accuracy and productivity standards
