1. New Product Development (NPD)
Key Responsibilities
- Support new product development from concept to production.
- Understand engineering drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials), and customer specifications.
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Sourcing teams during product development.
- Prepare engineering documents, reports, and change records.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and continuous improvement activities.
- Learn CNC machining, fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes related to new products.
- Follow quality systems and standard operating procedures.
Skills Preferred
- Mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of CAD/engineering drawings.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- MS Excel and documentation skills.
2. Sourcing Department
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities.
- Prepare and manage RFQs (Request for Quotations).
- Identify and evaluate suppliers.
- Compare quotations and support cost analysis.
- Review engineering drawings and prepare BOMs.
- Coordinate with vendors for material availability and delivery.
- Support supplier relationship management and procurement documentation.
- Work with Production and NPD teams to ensure timely material supply.
Skills Preferred
- Basic knowledge of supply chain and procurement.
- Engineering drawing interpretation.
- MS Excel proficiency.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
3. Production Department
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in shop-floor manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Learn CNC machining, sheet metal, wire harness, or electro-mechanical assembly processes.
- Follow production schedules and work instructions.
- Perform basic quality checks and maintain production records.
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and 5S practices.
- Support process improvements and productivity initiatives.
- Work under senior engineers and supervisors during training.
Skills Preferred
- Mechanical engineering basics.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Teamwork and willingness to work in shifts.
- Basic computer knowledge.
Eligibility
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Freshers are eligible.
- Internship or project experience in manufacturing is an advantage.
- Strong willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing environment.
