Position: French Teacher (Class 4 to 10-CBSE )

Location: The Academic City School, Nelamangala, Bangalore

Accommodation: On-campus accommodation with meals provided


Job Summary:


The Academic City School is seeking a passionate and qualified French Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching French to students from Classes 4 to 10, promoting interest in foreign language learning, and supporting co-curricular initiatives. Prior experience in a day boarding or residential school setting is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:


Teach the French language to students from Classes 4 to 10 as per the curriculum.

Design and deliver engaging lessons suited to different learning levels and styles.

Conduct periodic assessments and provide constructive feedback to support student growth.

Organize and lead co-curricular activities such as French language clubs, cultural events, and language competitions.

Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the overall language learning environment.

Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students’ academic progress effectively.

Maintain discipline and promote a positive classroom and campus environment.

Support residential school life by encouraging participation in language-related recreational activities.

Qualifications and Skills:


Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in French or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a school setting; prior residential or day boarding school experience is preferred.

Skills:

Strong proficiency in French with the ability to teach junior and middle school students.

Effective communication and classroom management skills.

Passion for teaching languages and engaging young learners.

Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs and academic levels.

Additional Requirements:


Willingness to reside on campus and contribute to after-school academic or cultural programs.

Sensitivity to the developmental and emotional needs of students in a residential setup.

Ability to collaborate with faculty members and contribute to school-wide academic goals.
